1. Who processes the data
The controller of personal data within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) is:
Website: tomic.cz
The controller has not appointed a data protection officer — in all matters concerning processing, please contact the e‑mail address given above directly.
2. What data we process and what for
2.1 Downloading the application
In the form on the Download page you enter your e‑mail address. Along with it we store your IP address, the time of the request and the language you selected.
- The e‑mail is used to send you the download link and to reply to any question.
- The IP address and time are used to limit the number of requests (protection against bots and abuse).
- The controller receives an internal notification about every download, including the e‑mail address used.
Providing your e‑mail is voluntary, but without it we cannot deliver the download link to you.
2.2 Order and licence
When you purchase a licence we process your name, e‑mail and, for businesses, billing details (company name, address, company ID, and VAT ID where applicable). They are used to issue the licence and the invoice and to communicate about the order.
During online activation of the licence, the licence key and an anonymous computer identifier (a fingerprint derived from the hardware) are transmitted. It serves solely to verify that the key is not running on more computers than the licence allows. The identifier does not make it possible to determine your identity or the contents of your computer.
2.3 Running the website
The web server stores ordinary technical records in its operational logs — the IP address, the time of the request, the page address and the browser type. They serve to ensure security and availability and are automatically overwritten after a short time.
3. On what legal basis
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — sending the download link to your e‑mail. You may withdraw your consent at any time, see below.
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — delivery of the licence, activation, support.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — retention of tax documents.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — securing the website, protecting the form against abuse and keeping a record of who the application was provided to.
4. How long we keep the data
- E‑mail from the download form — for the validity period of the link (7 days) and then in the download records, for no longer than 3 years; after that it is deleted.
- Licence data — for the validity period of the licence and 3 years thereafter (for renewals and support).
- Accounting documents — 10 years, as required by the Accounting Act and the VAT Act.
- Website operational logs — days to weeks, then they are overwritten.
5. Who may receive the data
We do not pass the data on to third parties for their own purposes and we do not sell it. It is processed only by the service providers we need in order to operate:
- WEDOS Internet, a.s. — web hosting and storage (Czech Republic).
- Seznam.cz, a.s. — the outgoing e‑mail server through which messages are sent (Czech Republic).
The data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
6. Data in the application itself
The application runs on your computer and your show data stays with you — it is not sent to any server. The application connects to the internet in only three cases:
- Checking for updates — a query for the latest version number; no personal data is sent.
- Online licence activation — see section 2.2.
- Downloading a fixture profile from the public library, if you ask for it yourself.
The "phone control" feature creates a connection only within your local network; nothing passes through our servers.
7. Cookies and local storage
The website uses exclusively technically necessary local storage items:
tomic_cookie_consent— remembers that you have already dealt with the consent bar.
No analytics, advertising or tracking tools run on the website — there is no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or anything similar. You can delete the stored consent by clearing the site data in your browser.
8. Your rights
In relation to your data you have the right:
- of access — we will tell you what data we hold about you;
- to rectification of inaccurate data;
- to erasure (the "right to be forgotten"), unless we have another lawful ground for the processing;
- to restriction of processing;
- to data portability — we will provide your data in a machine-readable format;
- to object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out so far.
Just write to software@tomic.cz. We will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe that our processing breaches the law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic, uoou.cz.
9. Security
The website runs exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Only the controller has access to the data. The download form is protected by a checksum computation and by a limit on the number of requests from a single IP address.
10. Changes to this policy
We may amend this policy — the version published on this page always applies. In the event of substantial changes, we will notify active licence holders by e‑mail.
